🎮Blooket Join: How to Join a Game With a Code

Blooket Join is how you enter a live quiz game using a code, a QR code or a link from your teacher. You do not need an account, just a working internet connection and the right joining details.

The official page is play.blooket.com. Open it, type the code your teacher shared, and follow the prompts. Below you will find every step, the other ways to join, fixes for common errors, and a clear answer on cost.

🤔What Is Blooket Join?

Blooket turns a set of questions into a game. A teacher picks a question set, chooses a game mode and invites the class to play. “Joining” is simply the step where a student connects to that session.

It is not a separate app or a subscription. Picture a teacher running a multiplication review: students type in the code, pick a nickname and start answering. The competition keeps revision lively, and it works for maths, science, English, history, vocabulary and more, depending on the set the host chose.

🔢How to Join a Blooket Game With a Code

  1. 1

    Open the official join page

On a computer, tablet or phone, go to play.blooket.com. Glance at the address bar before typing anything. A normal live game never needs you to visit some unrelated site.

  2. 2

    Enter the game code

Type the code from your teacher into the Game ID box. One wrong digit sends you nowhere, so check it against the board or screen before you tap Join.

  3. 3

    Pick your nickname

Use the name your teacher expects so they can recognise you in the results. Keep it safe: no surname, address, phone number or school name.

  4. 4

    Choose a Blook if asked

A Blook is your in-game character. Depending on the game, you may get to pick one while you wait. The choices can differ from game to game.

  5. 5

    Wait in the lobby

Once you are in, the host starts the game when everyone is ready. Then read each question, choose your answer and enjoy the race.

🔗Other Ways to Join Blooket

A code is only one option. Blooket’s student guide lists three, and your teacher decides which one to share.

MethodHow it worksBest for
Game codeGo to play.blooket.com and type the code.Classrooms with a shared screen
QR codeScan the teacher’s QR code with your camera.Phones and tablets, no typing
Join linkTap the link your teacher sends you.Online classes and group chats

All three lead to the same place. You still need an invitation from the host, and the game has to be open when you arrive.

🙋Can You Join Blooket Without an Account?

Yes. For a standard live game, a code, QR code or link is enough. No username, no password, no sign-up. Hosts are the ones who need an account, because they have to log in to run the game.

A free account is still handy if you want to try solo modes or keep your Blooks and progress. Blooket sets age rules for accounts, and they differ by country, so read the current terms in the Blooket Help Center before signing up.

If your teacher already gave you what you need to play, there is no reason to create an account just to join.

📚How to Join Blooket Homework

Homework is different from a live game. Your teacher assigns a set to finish on your own time, so nobody has to be online together.

  • Open the homework link your teacher shared, or scan its QR code.
  • Enter your name or follow the on-screen instructions to identify yourself.
  • Start the activity and answer every question.
  • Finish before the deadline and follow any extra steps your teacher gave.

You normally do not use a live-game code here. If the link says the assignment is unavailable, the deadline may have passed, so ask your teacher for a fresh link.

📱Playing on a Phone, Tablet or Computer

📱

Phone

Open the join page, tap the code box and type with the on-screen keyboard. Or just scan the QR code with your camera.

🧩

Tablet

Works in a modern browser. The bigger screen makes answer choices easier to read and tap.

💻

Laptop or desktop

Best for typing a code fast and reading long questions. Use the same official page.

Speed depends on your browser, internet and device, so games will not feel identical everywhere. If the page will not load, update your browser, check your connection and refresh. On a school device, the school network may be blocking the site.

💰Is Blooket Free?

Joining is free. Blooket’s Starter plan lets students play live games without paying, and its Help Center describes Blooket Plus as an optional upgrade.

Plus is aimed at hosts. According to the Help Center, extras include bigger hosted games (60 players on Starter versus up to 300 on Plus), enhanced reports, folders, audio questions and longer homework deadlines. None of that is needed to simply enter a teacher’s game.

Prices and plans change, so we do not print a dollar figure here. To see today’s price:

  • Sign in at blooket.com.
  • Open Settings and find the Plan section.
  • Select the upgrade option and check the price, billing period and terms before paying.

🛠️Fixing Blooket Join Problems

The game code is invalid

Compare it with the code on your teacher’s screen. Look for swapped or extra digits. Still failing? Ask the host to confirm the game is live and share the code again.

The game has already ended

Codes work only for their own session. Ask your teacher to start a new game, and never reuse an old code for a later class.

The website will not load

Check your Wi-Fi or data, refresh, and type the official address yourself. If other sites load but Blooket does not, try another browser or ask whether the school network blocks it.

You cannot get into the game

Make sure you are on the right page. The host may have limited entry in the game settings, or the game may be full. If you are in but cannot answer, wait for the host to press start.

The homework link does not work

Use the original link, and check the deadline has not passed. If it still fails, ask your teacher to check the assignment and resend it.

🛡️Is Blooket Join Safe for Students?

When you use the official site and follow your teacher, it is a low-risk way to play. Because you can join without an account, you hand over very little information.

  • Do not put your real full name, contact details or passwords in a nickname.
  • Leave if a page asks for payment or personal details just to enter a class game.
  • Do not trust unofficial “join” or code-generator sites.

Parents and teachers should also follow school policy and Blooket’s current terms and privacy information, available through the Help Center.

❓Blooket Join FAQs

What is a Blooket join code?

It is the code a host gets when they start a live game. Students enter it at play.blooket.com to connect to that exact session. It only works for that game, so a new session means a new code.

Do I need an account to join a Blooket game?

No. For a normal live game you can join with a code, QR code or link and choose a nickname. Only the host has to be logged in.

Why does my Blooket code say it is invalid?

Usually the code was mistyped, the game already ended or the host has not started it yet. Check each digit, then ask your teacher to confirm the game is open and resend the code.

Can I join a Blooket game after it has started?

That depends on the host’s settings. Some hosts allow late joining and others lock the game once it begins. If you are locked out, ask the host to change the setting or start a new game.

Is Blooket free to play?

Yes, joining and playing live games is free on the Starter plan. Blooket Plus is an optional paid upgrade for hosts. Check the price on the plan page in your account Settings, or visit the Help Center.

Ready to Play?

To join a live game, open play.blooket.com, enter the correct code, pick a nickname and wait for the host to begin. No subscription is needed. If a code fails, check it with your teacher and make sure you are on the official page. For more guides and tips, visit BlooketGo.
